Aloe Vera is not only something you drink. The leaf gel is also found in skincare products, and there the first question is the proportion: how much Aloe Vera is in the tube, and what is the rest? This article presents five products from our range, sorted by Aloe content, with the manufacturer's information on ingredients and application. They are cosmetics, not medicines: they care for the skin, and we claim nothing more.
The five at a glance
| Product | Aloe Vera | Size | Purpose according to the manufacturer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Moisturising Concentrated Gel | 90% | tube | moisture for dry, irritated skin |
| Instant Emergency Spray | 83% | 400 ml | care for large areas of stressed skin |
| Protecting Propolis Cream | 79% | 100 ml | very dry, rough areas of skin |
| All-Purpose MSM Body Gel | 60% | 200 ml | cooling care over muscles and joints |
| Relieving Thermolotion | 45% | 100 ml | warming massage lotion |
Besides the leaf gel, all five contain fermented Aloe Vera gel or herbal extracts; the full list of ingredients is on the packaging, and if in doubt, that is what counts.
Moisturising Concentrated Gel: 90% leaf gel

The gel concentrate is the product with the highest Aloe content. It contains 90% Aloe Vera leaf gel and fermented Aloe Vera gel, and little else: water, glycerin, a gelling agent, allantoin, vitamin E and preservatives. The manufacturer describes it as moisturising and cooling for irritated skin that lacks moisture.
How to use: apply to the affected areas of skin several times a day and massage in. Two tips from the manufacturer: after sunbathing, apply generously to the face and décolletage as a mask, and in winter, use it under your day cream as a base.
Instant Emergency Spray: 83% and eleven herbs

The spray in the 400 ml bottle combines 83% Aloe Vera gel and fermented Aloe Vera gel with eleven herbal extracts, including yarrow, borage, eucalyptus, sage, dandelion, thyme, ginger, passion flower, calendula and camomile, plus propolis. It is intended for use over large areas and, according to the manufacturer, settles on the skin like a film.
How to use: spray on from a distance of about 30 cm and leave to dry, several times a day if needed. The manufacturer mentions three further uses: bathing stressed hands in it for about ten minutes, placing a cold cloth sprayed with it on tired eyes or heavy legs, and massaging it generously into a dry scalp without washing it out.
Protecting Propolis Cream: 79% and bee resin

The cream combines 79% Aloe Vera leaf gel and fermented Aloe Vera gel with propolis, the resin produced by bees, and beeswax. It is richer than the gel and, according to the manufacturer, intended for extremely dry, rough and stressed areas of skin. It contains perfume; if that matters to you, choose the perfume-free concentrate or spray.
How to use: apply several times a day and massage in. Tips from the manufacturer: in the evening, apply a pea-sized amount to the soles of your feet and put socks on over it; apply it to the skin over your elbows, shins and knees several times a day; and in winter, use it to protect your hands and face against cold, wind and rain.
All-Purpose MSM Body Gel: 60% and sulphur

The gel contains 60% Aloe Vera gel, MSM, an organic sulphur compound, and extracts of bearberry leaves and willow bark, plus hyaluronic acid and vitamin E. It is absorbed quickly and has a cooling effect; the manufacturer recommends it for the skin over muscles and joints under strain, for example after sport or heavy physical work.
How to use: apply to a large area of skin over the strained areas and massage in.
Relieving Thermolotion: 45% and warmth

The lotion contains 45% Aloe Vera gel and essential oils, including eucalyptus and wintergreen, as well as olive, apricot kernel, jojoba and sesame oils. It is a massage lotion: at first the skin feels fresh, then a warmth develops, which the manufacturer recommends for massages after long periods of sitting or standing, for example on the legs and feet.
How to use: apply over a large area and massage in. Two rules from the manufacturer that you should take seriously: be sure to avoid contact with the eyes, and wash your hands after applying. The warmth comes from active ingredients that you do not want in your eyes.
Which one for what
- Dry skin, face, after time in the sun: the concentrate.
- Large areas, on the go, scalp: the spray.
- Rough patches, feet, cold: the Propolis Cream.
- Cooling after exertion: the MSM Gel.
- Warming and massaging: the Thermolotion.
Frequently asked questions
Why does each product have a different proportion of Aloe?
Because the rest does something: a cream needs fats and wax, a warming lotion needs oils, a gel needs almost nothing. The proportion tells you how much leaf gel there is room for in the formulation, not how good the product is.
Are the products perfume-free?
The concentrate, the spray, the MSM Gel and the Thermolotion do not list perfume among their ingredients, although the Thermolotion does contain essential oils with fragrance substances such as limonene and linalool. The Propolis Cream contains perfume.
Can I put the drinking gel on my skin?
The drinking gel is a food and is formulated for consumption. For the skin, there is the concentrate with 90% leaf gel; what is in the drinking gel is explained in Drinking Aloe Vera gel.
Where can I get the products?
In our range, provided they have been released for sale.
