The second part of the LR Health Mission is devoted to the liver. The manufacturer calls it the liver programme, and it consists of a single product: Liver Support, one capsule in the evening over the six months of the programme. This text names the ingredients, the authorised claims for the nutrients and the line between those and what the brochure promises beyond them.
What is in the capsule
Liver Support comes in packs of 30 capsules and, according to the manufacturer, is lactose-free, gluten-free and vegan, and made in Germany. The ingredients, in two groups:
Four nutrients with authorised claims
- Choline contributes to the maintenance of normal liver function and to normal lipid metabolism.
- Vitamin B6 contributes to normal cysteine synthesis and to the normal function of the immune system.
- Manganese contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
- Molybdenum contributes to normal sulphur amino acid metabolism.
Three plants, without an authorised claim
- Milk thistle (Silybum marianum), whose fruits contain the active substance complex silymarin.
- Chlorella, a freshwater alga that naturally contains proteins, B vitamins, vitamins C and K, iron, magnesium and zinc.
- Artemisia (Artemisia absinthium, wormwood), a bitter herb containing polyphenols, flavonoids and terpenes.

There are currently no authorised health claims for botanical ingredients in the EU. That is why this text says what the plants are, and not what they are supposed to do.
Why the liver has its own part in the programme
The liver is the body's largest metabolic organ. It converts nutrients from food, stores them and breaks down waste products; all of our blood flows through it once every three to five minutes. How the gut, liver and cells are connected is explained in the overview of the Health Mission.
The manufacturer builds the capsule around three ideas: supply, disposal and protection. Of these three, only supply is backed by an authorised claim: choline for normal liver function. For protection, the claim on manganese and cells applies. Disposal, which the brochure calls detoxification, is not an authorised claim.
Intake according to the manufacturer
| Product | Amount | When |
|---|---|---|
| Liver Support | 1 capsule | in the evening |
The capsule is taken alongside the gut programme and the cell metabolism programme. The stated daily dose must not be exceeded.
What the brochure says and what is not stated here
The brochure talks about liver protection, liver detoxification and liver regeneration through milk thistle, and about artemisia promoting digestion. These are health claims without EU authorisation; we do not adopt them. If you would like to read the brochure, you will find it on the LR Health Mission topic page.
Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Frequently asked questions
Is one capsule a day enough?
That is the manufacturer's recommended intake, and it must not be exceeded. A pack of 30 capsules therefore lasts a month.
Is Liver Support vegan?
Yes, according to the manufacturer it is vegan, lactose-free and gluten-free.
What is cysteine synthesis?
Cysteine is an amino acid that the body produces itself, in the liver among other places. The authorised claim only says that vitamin B6 contributes to this normal synthesis, nothing more.
Where can I get Liver Support?
In our range, as soon as it has been released.
